Everyone! Support from alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends is the key to success for the Maverick Student Athlete Challenge.
How can I help my student-athlete?
First, make a gift via your student-athlete’s social media link. Then, share your student-athlete’s social media post on your social media – challenge your friends and family to do the same. You will help make the Maverick Student Athlete Challenge a success!
Where is my donation going?
Your gift to the Maverick Student Athlete Challenge will benefit the student-athletes through program and scholarship support.
What happens if a campaign doesn’t meet the goal?
If a champion or sports team does not meet it’s funding goal, it will directly impact the support available to student-athletes at Minnesota State.
What happens if a campaign exceeds the goal?
If the Maverick Student Athletes Challenge exceeds the total goal, any sport that exceeds their team goal will be able to use their additional funds for projects that benefit their program.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
All funds received will be deposited with and distributed through the Minnesota State University, Mankato Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your gift is considered a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax adviser regarding the deductibility of charitable contributions.
Is my payment secure?
Yes! All payments are processed using an encrypted, secure payment gateway. Your credit/debit card information is never shared with the Minnesota State University, Mankato Foundation.
Can I support my student-athlete by mail or phone?
Yes!
To make your gift by phone, please call Cindy Arndt at 507-389-6829 to make your gift over the phone.
You can mail your check (made payable to: Minnesota State University Mankato Foundation). Please include a note with your gift to let us know that you’d like to support the Maverick Student Athlete Challenge, your student-athlete’s name and their affiliated sport. This will help ensure the student-athlete will receive credit for your gift.
